Koch National Invitational

The Koch National Invitational features two-days of sailing competition on sailboats crewed by two person teams. The total cost of this event is $250 USD including housing, food, boats and everything you need except your transportation to the event location and your personal clothes.

Q: What are my options if a competitor does not have a COVID-19 vaccination as required by the university?
A: Please email registrar@seascoutcup.org for more information.
Q: Will participants need to bring their Sea Scout uniform?
A: No. There will be no need for the Sea Scout uniform at this event. No need to bring it.
Q: Can parents/guardians stay in the dorms at Suffolk University?
A: Yes. Parents/Guardians will be allowed to stay in the dorms for $200/person. This will include housing for both Friday and Saturday nights along with breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday.

NOTE: Competitors aged 14 and 15 years old are required to have a parent/guardian stay with them in the dorms.
Q: Will there be transportation to and from the local airport (Logan International Airport)?
A: There is no Koch Cup supplied transportation. There are however several ways to get from the airport to Suffolk University (i.e. Uber, Lyft, MBTA, Taxi)
Q: Will the dorms be available to stay for more than just Friday and Saturday nights?
A: No. The dorms will only be availabe for housing Friday and Saturday nights.
Q: Where will meals take place?
A: Friday meals will be on your own. Saturday: breakfast will be in the university cafeteria, lunch will be boxed by the university and carried over to the MIT Sailing Pavilion, and dinner will be a social with potential speaker (location TBD). Sunday: breakfast will be in the university cafeteria and lunch will be boxed by the university and carried over to the MIT Sailing Pavilion.
Q: What is the room situation at the university?
A: The rooms are setup where two doubles share a full bathroom with shower.
Q: Can I volunteer to assist with the Koch National Invitational?
A: We are not accepting any request for volunteers. Spectators are welcome.
