
Biographical Info
Eamon is from Gowrie, Australian Capital Territory, Australia and is a member of Lake Tuggeranong Sea Scouts of the Scouts ACT. He has been active in scouting for 7 years and has earned the rank of Venturer. He just graduated from Canberra College.
He is a Sea Scout and a Venturer. He is a national and junior champion in two classes of dinghy, ACT Sea Scouts Tri-Lakes Champion, Sirius Cup winner, ACT Teams Racing Championship winner, and 6th place finisher in the 2016 Koch Cup. He is a community: sailing instructor, YMCA.
He feels that The Koch Cup is an amazing experience. It is a great opportunity to learn sailing and racing skills, and to learn about Scouting directly from other Sea Scouts from all round the world. The regatta is a world-class event that provides a unique opportunity to meet new Scouts, new sailors, and to create long lasting friendships and international connections. He loved competing in the 2016 Koch Cup and looks forward to competing again.
He has been sailing for 10 years twice a week at club racing during the season, regularly in state and national championships and Sea Scout regattas, and traveled to California for the Koch Cup in 2016. He experience in Lasers, Australian Lightweight Sharpies, NS14s, Envy 4.3s, Pacers, Mirrors, Hobie 16s, Windrush 14s, B14s, and Waszps
He has participated in races to include club racing at the YMCA Sailing Club of Canberra, Sea Scout regattas each year on Canberra’s Lakes and Sydney Harbor, state titles and national championships around Australia each year, and at the Long Beach Yacht Club in 2016 at the Koch Cup.
